Latest ESPC figures show that the average price of a house sold in Edinburgh in May stood at £206,138, the highest level recorded since July 2008. The results marked the third consecutive monthly rise in the average figure although prices remain lower than at this time last year with an annual decline of 12.3%.

Latest ESPC figures show that the average house price in Edinburgh now stands at £201,497 following an annual fall of 10.9%. Despite this year-on-year fall, the average house price in the Capital is now at its highest level since September 2008. The number of properties selling remains 60% down year-on-year, with the number of homes coming onto the market similarly constrained. The percentage of Fixed Price properties achieving the asking price reaches highest level since June 2008.

Latest ESPC figures reveal that house prices in Edinburgh fell by 2.5% annually in February taking the average price of a home in the Capital to £194,678. Sales volumes slowed again after the improvement in January. 212 properties were sold in February, as opposed to 277 in January and 476 in February 08. The negotiation position of buyers continues to be strong with an average premium on offers over of 4.3% (down from 23.3% in February 08) and only 19% of fixed price properties are achieving their set price.

Latest ESPC figures reveal that the average house price in Edinburgh fell by just 1.2% annually in January taking the average price of a home in the Capital to £198,267. The figures marked the second month in a row in which the rate of annual decline had eased with a 12% year-on-year drop in November having been followed by a 4.1% decrease in December 2008.

Latest figures released today by ESPC reveal an annual fall of 6.5% took the average price of property in the Capital to £201,517. Sales volumes also remained constrained with the number of properties sold in the Capital down by almost 60% year-on-year for the third consecutive month. Just 400 sales were completed in August, compared with 985 during the same month in 2007.
